Emma Watson’s shoe collection (of supposedly only eight pairs) is worth £14000

Emma Watson claims to have only 8 pairs of shoes. But they come to an amazing amount of £14000!

Harry Potter actress Emma Watson, who is frequently pictured sashaying down red carpets in a variety of towering stilettos, has claimed she owns only eight pairs of shoes.

Given that she has a £24  million fortune and luxury homes in London, New York and France, such parsimonious behaviour beggars belief.

Ms Watson, who often tops the best-dressed lists in fashion magazines, made the claim in an interview published this week about her new film “The Bling Ring”, in which she plays one of a real-life gang of thieves who raided celebrities’ homes for their designer clothes.

Read more on the story and look at the pictures of some of her shoes!

Emma Watson could play leading role in fantasy series

While the trilogy series “Queen of the Tearling” hasn’t been released yet, Emma Watson’s name has already been attached to the probable movie adaptation. It would be the starlet’s first leading role since Harry Potter.

Variety reports that the book features a 19-year-old female protagonist, and “is set three centuries after an environmental catastrophe when a malevolent Red Queen holds considerable power.”  Johansen was partly inspired by a 2007 speech from Barack Obama.  I guess I missed his “malevolent Red Queen” speech.  The books are reportedly a “female Game of Thrones“, which is an odd description since Game of Thrones has plenty of interesting female characters.  Harper Collins will begin releasing the Queen of the Tearling books starting next year.

Personally, I’d love to see Emma in another strong, female role in a YA movie adaptation. What about you?

Emma Watson possibly going to star in Disney’s ‘Cinderella’ remake

Update! Emma is officially out of the running and will not be acting in Cinderella, according to moviefone.

Two bits of exciting news here: the first, Disney is going to be producing a live-action remake of “Cinderella,” and the second, that Emma Watson is in early talks to star in it, according to Collider.

It looks like Disney is eyeing Emma Watson (Harry Potter series) to don the iconic glass slipper in their live-action Cinderella picture.  Saoirse Ronan, Gabrielle Wilde and Alicia Vikander were previously reportedly as being eyed for the role, though Watson is still in very early talks.  Cate Blanchett is expected to play the evil stepmother and Kenneth Branagh will direct, having replaced Mark Romanek earlier this year.  Disney hopes to begin shooting in London this fall for a possible 2014 release.

What do you think? Is Emma fit to be a Disney princess?

‘The Bling Ring’ to premiere June 14

This summer, Emma Watson is starring in a comedy/crime/drama movie where she portrays Nicki, a member of a group of fame-obsessed teens who use the Internet to track down celebrities’ whereabouts and rob their homes.

Sofia Coppola’s based-on-true-events flick, “The Bling Ring,” which stars Emma Watson, has got an official date picked out in June. It opens June 14, according to The Wrap. The film is based on Nancy Jo Sales’Vanity Fair article “The Suspects Wore Louboutins,” and is about a group of teenagers who stole from Hollywood A-listers like Lindsay Lohan, Orlando Bloom, Paris Hilton and Rachel Bilson.

“It was really weird. This is what’s so awesome about my job, is that I had to get into the shoes of someone I couldn’t relate to,” Emma explained to MTV News. I’ve never had to do that before, but by the end of it, I don’t know, it was really interesting getting into this girl’s head. She represents a lot of what I basically stand against. It was really fascinating to break it down, and be like, ‘What is this actually about?’ It made me like my job a lot.”

Emma Watson grows up, takes on new role in Beauty and the Beast

Lately, what with “The Bling Ring,” and “The Perks of Being a Wallflower,” it seems that Emma Watson has taken on more mature, even controversial roles. However, her latest project, a “Beauty and the Beast,” remake done by Guillermo del Toro, will feature the more ‘good-girl’ side of Watson we saw with Hermione Granger.

Fans of Emma Watson are hyped and excited to see the “Harry Potter” star portray Belle of the highly-anticipated remake of “Beauty & the Beast” by Guillermo del Toro. The role of Belle is impeccably perfect for the Lancôme ambassadress.

With the script for “Beauty & the Beast” over and done, the film is soon to shoot this summer. In anticipation for the big reveal, here’s a quick peek at the film roles taken on by Watson and how she has evolved from one to the next.

Despite being included in one of the biggest film franchise in the world, Watson became involved in other film projects. The next film apart from “Potter” is “Ballet Shoes” where Watson shows off her dancing skills. The lovely British actress also lent a helping hand to voicing the animated character in “The Tale of Despereaux.”

Taking a minor role in “My Week with Marilyn”, fans of Emma saw her “snog” an actor obviously not ginger and not Ron Weasley. Watson’s smooching session with Eddie Ramayne is nothing compared to her make-out session with Logan Lerman. Emma played the character of Sam in “Perks of Being a Wallflower.”

If Emma’s “Perks” role was somewhat wild for her “Harry Potter” fans, wait until they see her as Nikki in the upcoming film by Sofia Coppola “Bling Ring.” The remake focuses on true events that took place in Hollywood which involves a group of teenagers who snuck into celebrity homes to steal and sell off goods. Watson plays the ring leader, Nikki and sure enough fans are hyped to see her go bad on screen.

Which of Emma’s films (besides Harry Potter, of course) has been your favorite?
