J.K. Rowling has recently sold her annotated copy of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone for over $220,000, and her official website has been updated with a snapshot of the book’s interior. Pictured here is Snape, as unpleasant as always!
According to the Entertainment Weekly article, Emma Watson personally assured fans, the allegations are false:
“I haven’t read the book, I haven’t a read a script, nothing. There are so many movies you become attached to when I’ve literally never even received a phone call. It was the same way with ‘The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo,’ I never even saw a script!”
She adds that even some friends and family asked her about ‘Grey’ since so many different items linking her to the film have popped up online. “I told them just because there are 60 articles on the Internet doesn’t mean it’s any less true than if there are three or four.
And a word to the wise for those who believe everything that they read about the actress: “The thing is I’m not going to go out there every time someone attaches me to a film to say no or release a statement.”
Harry Potter news is buzzing with a new hot topic. Emma Watson is rumored to be in “preliminary talks” about her possible new role- Anastasia Steele in the big-screen adaption of “Fifty Shades of Grey.”
The Harry Potter actress is “in preliminary talks” about the movie and is said to be “one of the frontrunners” for the lead role of Anastasia Steele, reports the International Business Times… Since being published last year, Fifty Shades Of Grey has become notorious for its explicit sexual content and controversial portrayal of a relationship involving BDSM. The three novels by British author EL James have now sold more than 31 million copies worldwide.
While we’re excited for any new career opportunities that Emma has, what do you think of her in such a controversial role?

Japan is only the NEXT location for the theme park, as more are sure to follow suit. So why Japan? From the article: In a country of 127 million, more than 80 million tickets to Potter films have been bought and about 24 million books have been sold, giving the story of the orphan boy turned world-saving magician four spots among Japan’s top 10 all-time bestsellers.
Although Charlotte Brontë’s Jane Eyre tops the list as the Most Powerful Women in Literature according to Flavorwire, much can be said for J.K. Rowling’s creation, Hermione Granger. Not only did she nab second place, but she beat out the likes of Katniss Everdeen from The Hunger Games trilogy (4th) and Eowyn from the Lord of the Rings trilogy (6th), both very strong characters as well. Would you agree? – TFGeekgirl

Hermione Granger. A character that we have all fallen in love with as we have grown up with her, or for the older generation, have watched her grown up. Being smart, pretty, witty, and best friends with Harry Potter and Ron Weasley has never been an easy job for her. We watched her grow from a timid little first year with a lot of brain power to an amazingly beautiful and intelligent woman who never cracks under pressure and can keep her head (even while being tortured). Recently, Mugglenet posted that Hermione Granger has been given the title of “The Second Most Powerful Woman in Literature”. For those of us who have grown up with Ms. Granger, we have been greatly impacted by her. She is one of those characters who most girls want to be like. Strong, pretty, independent and level headed. She was an amazing role model for us as we grow up and as the years go on, she will be an amazing role model to future generations. – Lexi
